Certification Levels & Requirements

High Performance Pitching offers two certification levels; Intermediate and Elite. The educational/testing requirements, cost, and other details of each level are listed below.

Intermediate Level Certification

This level consists of education in all the mechanics for throwing a basic fastball. It follows our educational track titled: Intermediate Level—Basic Fastball Mechanics. It will require the successful completion of 12 courses. These 12 courses will consist of 90 individual lessons. 10 of the courses will have a quiz at the end which you will be required to pass. Our online education system automatically tracks your successful progress to keep both you and High Performance Pitching abreast of where you are in the certification process.

The cost to register for the Intermediate Certified Coach program is $200.  To  help offset these costs, a person registering for the Coach Certification program will receive a discount of 33% on each course purchased. In addition to the Registration fee, 11 of the 12 courses must be purchased. The base price per course is typically $29.95, but for persons in the Certification program, that cost is reduced 33%.  Additional benefits are listed on our Coach Certification Benefits & Incentives page.

All Certified Coaches are required to pass a background check prior to being accepted into the program and  subsequently may be required to renew that background check annually.  Within the background checking process is a mandatory “Child Safety Program”.  The cost for the background check is about $25 and is born by the person registering. A link is provided to direct you to the background checking company.

A personal interview by a High Performance Pitching representative will be required as part of the certifying process. This interview can be done either in-person at one of our clinics or via a live internet interaction.

Upon completion of the Intermediate Level educational program and prior to Certification award; each registrant will be required to sign two affirmation documents:
• Code of Conduct/Ethics
• Compliance to the High Performance Pitching Instructional Standards


 

Elite Level Certification

It is a prerequisite to have successfully qualified as an Intermediate Level Certified Coach.

This level consists of education in all the mechanics and techniques for throwing movement pitches. Additionally it includes education in advanced skills of Meaningful Warm-Ups, Location, Speed, and Coaching Disciplines. It follows our educational track titled: Elite Level—Ball Movement. It will require the successful completion of 12 courses. These 12 courses will consist of 96 individual lessons. Each course will have a quiz at the end which you will be required to pass. Our online education system automatically tracks your successful progress to keep both you and High Performance Pitching abreast of where you are in the certification process.

The cost to register for the Elite Certified Coach program is $200.   To help offset these costs, a person registering for the Coach Certification program will receive a discount of 33% on each course purchased.
